New election held on Sunday Septrmber 7th due to the secretary being out of town on the second Tuesday. Three members were present for Election (K2BKW, KE2CK & KC2YWR). Results are Brett, K2BKW remains President/ Vice- President and Jerry, KE2CK remains secretary. Currently we have 9 members on record however 3 members live out of state.
KE2CK and K2BKW have been busy helping the Boro Emergency Management Office install VHF emergency radios throughout the Boro facilities, i.e. the EOC, Fire Station, EMS Station, MUA etc. These radios have a dual purpose, 1) for Municipal use and 2) for Amateur use by the club during emergency situations such as major power failures, Stormes, County or State Emergencies. Should all else fail, our Boro will have a stand alone communications system to maintain normal and critical operations.
Basic club interests are repeaters, entry level training & mentoring, HF operations, SkyWarn activities and net through Cumberland County OEM.
