Hello to all. I have two repeaters located at a tower site located in eastern Erie County Ohio. During my initial installation 8 years ago, my electric costs were in the $20 to $25 a month range for about 90 kw of power monthly. Progressively First Energy started adding additional charges of "distribution related component", "cost recovery", "bypassable generation" and "transmission component". These extra charges have increased the total charges now to $85.00 monthly.
Has any other repeater operators or clubs in the First Energy or other service area experienced such an increase in electric costs? If so, have you off-set the cost with an alternate power source? Your comments are certainly welcome. Thank you..
