The Yavapai Amateur Radio Club (YARC) is an American Radio Relay League (ARRL) affiliated organization comprised of amateur radio operators in the quad-city area surrounding Prescott Arizona, with over 300 members and supports a vibrant youth radio club.
We welcome all amateurs and anyone interested in becoming a ham.
The Club offers licensing classes and testing for all levels of FCC licenses.
The Club sponsors Fox hunting (searching for hidden transmitters) once a month and maintains mountaintop repeaters for use by any licensed amateur radio operator.
The Club Elmer group is very active with local hams in assisting with antenna erections (and take-downs) as well as assisting new operators with installation of radio gear. The Club station is available to all operators to help get on the air and overcome the 'mic fright'!
