Wayne Greene, KB4DSF, joined the Education Department in 2024 as the Education Specialist for our department and in 2026 has taken on the mantle as Director of Education and Learning. Beyond these roles he also serves as one of the instructors for the Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology. Wayne is a retired Federal criminal investigator and Technical Surveillance Agent. Since his retirement, he ran an after-school STEM program for the homeschool community. Wayne is an Amateur Extra and a VE. In his spare time, Wayne enjoys cooking, fishing, and camping.

Max Freedman, N4ML, is our ARRL Education and Learning Support Specialist. Max works to keep the ARRL Learning Center up to date with the latest and greatest in Amateur Radio, keeps our registered Instructors up to date on the best in Amateur Radio education, and supports ARRL Teachers Institute on Wireless Technology. Licensed since 2016, Max is an active Contester, DXer, and DXpeditioner. Max is a member of the Caribbean Contesting Consortium, Northern California DX Foundation, Yankee Clipper Contest Club, and many other special interest clubs.

Liam Valentine, KC1ZVZ, joined the team in 2026 as our Education & Learning Coordinator. His tasks involve the facilitation of the Teachers Insitute program, helming the revitalized quarterly newsletter Radio Waves, and generally making sure that all the departments initiaties are operating at the peak of their efficiency. His background is in academic administration and English instruction. In his free time he enjoys reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
